wStuck gear on City Park

On Sunday 11/16/2008 I managed to get 3 newer, anodized Black Diamond stoppers stuck on City Park. A few taps with a hammer and nut tool should remove them. If you happen to retrieve them and want to return them, I would be very gratefull. If you want to keep them, well that is fine too. bighurtbob@hotmail.com

If anyone is heading out to do Godzilla or City park and want to do me a favor you could bring a hammer and retrieve my Stoppers on City Park. They are 3 anodized Black Diamond nuts (red, gold, blue). If you want to keep them that is of course your perogative as well.

I watched someone clean at least one with a simple yank.

I think the other two were still there as of Wed.

FWIW, I always carry a hammer when aiding just to clean nuts.

It makes it easier, and prolongs the life of the nuts.

I find a tiny nail puller hammer works great, look in the hardware store with the crowbars. It's about the same length as my nut tool but has a tiny hammer head. It's easier to deal with when clean aiding than a normal hammer.

or more simply you can use your helmet or tag up a rock.

On City Park I use axel grease and a blowtorch to clean my gear after a FA.

We rapped down from Slow Children after DPS fixed those nuts and they definetly weren't coming out with a simple yank. We didn't bother trying a rock though.

Thanks for the tips, I will check out the nail puller hammer.

[Bug]

I took a concrete workeer's hammer and sawed off most of the pick and adz leaving a nice light hammer with a pointy head and a squre head. Weighs about half what a BD wall hammer does.
