allison Posted July 12, 2002 Posted July 12, 2002 I am looking for one of these, new or used. Don't want a whole multi pan set, and I'd rather not pay full retail, this stuff is so spendy! Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted July 12, 2002 Posted July 12, 2002 I dont participate in shoplifting schemes. I would slander the store mgr and kick him in the gonads if he got on my nerves though. [ 07-12-2002, 02:17 PM: Message edited by: Cpt.Caveman ] Quote

allthumbs Posted July 13, 2002 Posted July 13, 2002 call scot'teryx; he's got all the hi-tech shit Quote
Juan Posted July 13, 2002 Posted July 13, 2002 It's easy to shoplift at the Redmond REI. They carry them. Wear a big shirt; no one will know. Possibly take Cavey to create a diversionary scene. Good luck. John Quote

allison Posted July 15, 2002 Author Posted July 15, 2002 Signal-to-noise ratio is getting a bit high.I asked a reasonable question and got six responses, all of them useless. You guys are killing me! Quote
Poseur Posted July 15, 2002 Posted July 15, 2002 Just go ahead and plunk down the 40 bucks and get it over with. I've got the .9ltr Evernew, works fine. But pretty much use just the MSR teapot, much smaller but fits the pocket rocket's burn area better and melts snow just about as fast as you could in a bigger pot. Just trying to be helpful, but you can spank me too if you want. Quote
erik Posted July 15, 2002 Posted July 15, 2002 i just borrow juan's ti gear when i need a quick fix!!! Quote
allison Posted July 15, 2002 Author Posted July 15, 2002 Thanks, I have one of those MSR kettles, and though it works great, I keep wishing it were a *little* bit bigger. Quote

texplorer Posted July 16, 2002 Posted July 16, 2002 I have a tity pot. He's got lots of experience, not like those fresh off the shelf. He has been to the top of Stuart, El Cap, Mexico, and even up to the snaffle infested cashmere crags. Unfortunetly he is being held for ransom by the devious poster known as "highlander." He is a light grey with a slight blackening on bottom and was last seen with Mrs. Tikka. He is a 3 year old MSR and though may be a little beat up still works hard. If you spot this little guy at your local circle K or hitchhiking to Canada please call the lost gear hotline 1-800-MY BOOTY or contact me here on CC.com. Thanks for your concerns.
