chesterboo Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 Let's see it people. Iron Maiden made some killer covers for sure! Quote
mike1 Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 I do like Eddy... Judas Priest always had cool covers too. Some of the Black Sabbath covers could give you nightmares. Quote
Chad_A Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 Ray Pettibon's stuff was always pretty cool. He did lots of punk artwork in the 70s and 80s, including the Black Flag album cover of my avatar pic. Quote
mattp Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Of my Zappa albums, I've always liked the cover of Weasel's ripped my flesh. Quote
pindude Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 At Laclede we've got Weasels Ripped My Flesh Part 1 (first pitch), and Weasels Ripped My Flesh Part 2 (second pitch): a very worthwhile climb. Is creative album art dying out? Most of the stuff I can think of is classic and older: maybe it's just my age, and I don't know much of the more obscure stuff. I kind of had a theme going. This last one reminds me of the ending scene of Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey Quote
glm Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 Definitely Weasels Ripped my Flesh! also... In the Court of the Crimson King 10000 Days - I haven't seen that much effor in an album cover in years! Close to the Edge - the inner drawing Wish You Were Here - cool photos of Mono Lake Quote
