John Frieh Posted October 8, 2007 Author Posted October 8, 2007 So after all this hemming and hawing they changed it at the last minute and she didn't get intro music  But it didn't really matter as Ellen was the unanimous winner :rawk:  She has a fight in 2 weeks so if you think of something good between now and then dont hesitate to post it here.  As of right now she is still leaning towards her original choice  Missy Elliot - Get Ur Freak on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVMDyJrAyZE  Ill try to post some pics from the fight later Quote
canyondweller Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Major props to Ellen for getting into the ring! Two things I noticed, though. She needs to keep her guard up when throwing combinations, and she needs to move (i.e., circle and create angles). Good job, though. Â P.S. I see my abs (all of them) every day. Quote
olyclimber Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 When's the last time you saw your abs??? Â WHAT IS AN AB???? Quote
rmncwrtr Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Yay Ellen! Maybe after a thousand more Crossfit workouts I'll be able to see abs. Quote
canyondweller Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Abs, and the elusive 6-pack, are more a function of diet than exercise. Quote
rmncwrtr Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Well after three babies, it's going to take a bit more than diet. Quote
canyondweller Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 True enough. My point was, diet is an important component, in addition to core exercises. Many people do thousands of crunches, and the like, hoping to get that look but never change their diet (or do not change it correctly); consequently, they fail. Good luck. Quote
RuMR Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 having abs visible means shit as far as core strength... Â its more a function of genetics and subcutaneous fat than anything else. Â I know tons of people with wicked core strength and trunks for obliques and abs, you could punch 'em square and it feels solid, yet no definition there. Additionally, they can have "ripped" arms and back... Â Â Quote

Not having the "pack" doesn't mean the strength isn't there. Quote
