Any girl who asks about internet dating online could use a little extra help. You're welcome. OKay Ole wise one.....any suggestions on healing "the broken-hearted"? I can do that too. cindy66 Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I have to hand it to u Mr Phil,I will give u an A for Effort Quote
Macson Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I spend about $12k on tax software every year. It's made by the same people who make Turbo Tax. I don't know what Turbo Tax doesn't do, but I'd be willing to bet it's alot. Cindy, with your situation you'd be wise to talk with an accountant even for just half an hour. Did you and your husband have any assets? Make sure you ask someone about "step-up". Do not rely on H&R Block to explain all the ramifications to your recent loss. Quote
cindy66 Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I will take this as more good advice....many thanx Quote
Mr_Phil Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I have to hand it to u Mr Phil,I will give u an A for Effort A couple more. Save first, spend second. Invest in diversified, low cost index funds. Vanguard is my favorite fund company. Quote
cindy66 Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Okay Mr Phil, your just overflowing with good advice. Quote
Seahawks Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Inside the terror of being a new-widow,I brought mine to H&R Block, for them to charge me 180.bucks just to tell me I was only getting 375. back.....the thought of "where's yer sign?" came thru my head when a litle lady says to me,"1040 EZ"!!! Next year go to Costco. you can buy Turbo tax for $15 when it on sale and it will hold your hand through everything. Then it another $15 to electronic file or you can mail it in. Quote
Alex Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Also, if you itemize deductions you can write off the cost of tax preparation,...so next year you can write off that 14.95$ you spent on TurboTax Basic on teh InterWeb the previous year. Quote
Dechristo Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I find it advantageous to write-off nearly everything. Quote
foraker Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 H&R Block is not good. Like the other poster daid, you pay for them to type what you tell them. It's stupid money down the drain. Get a real accountant or CPA. If you get one of those and they are what is called and "enrolled agent" they were IRS agents before and they know their shit pretty well. Funny, whenever my dad has had dealings with the IRS folks, he can't ever get the same answer twice out of them. He took to taking a tape recorder with him after awhile. They weren't too happy about that. Quote
cj001f Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I spent 6 hours filling in my 1040 and associated schedules last night. Crashed at about 1:30 a.m. Anybody take even longer than that? Move to Dubai Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I find that importing bales of cocaine via home-made submarine saves me loads of tax preparation time. Quote
archenemy Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Thanx And make sure your internet date has a big dick. Pics are required before meeting in person. Quote
cindy66 Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Now how in the H E double hockey stix am i suppose to ask him to take a pic before meeting ? LMAO Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Send him a picture of a giant squid, then ask "Does this make you feel intimidated or better about yourself?" Quote
archenemy Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Or like this: "Say, will you send me a picture of your dick?" "Preferably erect" Quote
cindy66 Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 LMAO......LMAO..............LMLAO..(the middle L is for little) Hey I may be the one that turns out to be intimidated. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 and don't forget to ask him if he's sporting any penis hardware (Prince Alberts, etc.) Online dating standard procedure these days. Quote
archenemy Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Yeah, good thinking. That way you can insert your magnet before things get going. Quote
cindy66 Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 LOL........Asking for a pic would probably intel me wanting to look at said pic, which in turn might would alter decision on this "meeting of friends"......but maybe i should ask for him to send a copy of last doctor's report, and anything else revolving around "standard procedures"of online dating. Quote
archenemy Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Yup. Just don't forget the dick picture. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 If he offers to send you a scanned picture of his dick, but then claims he can't because his scanner doesn't do 11 x 17, you're probably good to go. Quote
Gary_Yngve Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 my taxes were easy. standard deduction. Quote
