So what is the least visited mountain group in British Columbia?

Would this group also be considered the most remote in British Columbia? (By remote, I mean from any logging road.)

Probably the Cassiar or Omineca Ranges, and yep. I dont know of anyone who has ever really visited any of them. Probably a lot of unclimbed peaks. Of course they tend not to be all that spectacular... highest ones are mid 2000ms, like 2700... not many big walls either I don't think.

The Omineca is the same geological body as the Purcell-Selkirk group (think Bugaboos??) supposed to be lots of granite according to my geological courses.

There is info available on bivouac.com in terms of peak names and heights but little else. write us up a TR if you go.

Well ya, so write us a TR in 6 months when you go there...

I bet the blood flow from thinking about all those unclimbed peaks, into the muscles, helps the healing process [big Grin]

Yeah you might have to fly in there and take them yourselves [Wink]

you ask for the most remote range that people almost never visit and then lament the lack of photos? does the paradox escape you? [laf]

I was holding off judgement until I knew for sure but you seriously thought the city sewage system just threw it all in a big pile JUST outside of town like that? Could you imagine? That's environmentalism worthy of our head of state! [laf]

Point well taken Fern. I thought at least some climbing junkie would have been there and taken pictures and put it on a website somewhere......
