ZimZam Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Arch-san: If you enjoyed the temples at Angkor then Kyoto would be the place to visit while in Nippon. Old school Japan. It was spared the firebombings during WWII because of it's historical significance. Quote
slothrop Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Kamakura is even better for temples and shrines. They're less spectacular than Kyoto's, but you can spend a couple days just walking around in the small city. There are even little hiking trails between some temples that go along a ridge overlooking the city. Quote
MisterMo Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 don't bother... Y'know, I once had the opportunity for an 365 day all-expenses-paid tour of that little country, courtesy of the US gov'ment no less, and came to pretty much the same conclusion. Quote
Billygoat Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Malaysia is worthless also. Never go there. Did you even try Mount Kinabalu? Quote
