olyclimber Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Yo, time to start planning for the Fall Ropeup. Last year was pretty fun. I want to gauge the interest in possibly having it earlier this year, like in September (in mid Sept). We'll probably have it in the same campground as last year, and I'll be sure to reserve it myself if that is possible. The idea is to have it so we have some good weather for climbing (hopefully) and as well to to have some time between the Smiffy Tuff Love so people who wish to go to both can do so. So what do you think? We'll have Terminal Gravity again, and donations for the keg(s) will go to Kurt's recovery fund. Gear swap. Slide show. Input? Quote
Dr_Flush_Amazing Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 My girlfriend is still in therapy due to the happenings last year. Quote
olyclimber Posted August 2, 2006 Author Posted August 2, 2006 she never saw something so "fun" eh? Quote
G-spotter Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Is there a chunk of Kurt's skull that we could pass around and sign before it gets put back in Quote

sk Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 So, for the people not in the know, what happens at the fall rope up? if we tell you we will have to kill you Quote
olyclimber Posted August 2, 2006 Author Posted August 2, 2006 mainly people stand around and drink beer, but its made more complicated by the slideshow, mingling with world renown Northwest Hardpeople, did I already mention drinking beer?, meeting fellow CC.com peeps, and in general having a good time. Also, since we're there, we climb in Icicle Creek all weekend too. Quote
Dr_Flush_Amazing Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 A couple people fell in a river, some guy puked on his pants, a cc.com administrator licked a guy's girlfriend's shirt while she was in it, and to sum up: Quote
olyclimber Posted August 2, 2006 Author Posted August 2, 2006 its basically a good time. we allow freedom of expression. and its climbers, who tend to be socially well adjusted and well behaved, so bring your manners. So what do yall think of Mid Sept? Muff, what is it gonna take to get you up here? Quote

cook Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Its a good time. Last year I didn't even know there was a slide show until the next day. Quote
olyclimber Posted August 2, 2006 Author Posted August 2, 2006 there was a slide show with an excellent sideshow. mark the date on your calendar, the 16th (unless i hear any big objections). I'll see about reserving that group campsite way up the creek and away from the easily frightened folk. Quote
sobo Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Yeah, that was a nice spot last year. Johnny Creek CG I think it was... memory black-out ensues... Quote
