catbirdseat
I know some of the people who were part of that group. There were three ropes of three. The first rope of three waited over two hours for the other two to top out. And this was after waiting for another party in front of them. G-spotter
I hope they had an iPod, or Scrabble, or a Don deLillo novel
jordop
I hope they all realize that under the new rules that will be their one and only ascent of Diedre for the rest of their lives
DirtyHarry
I am going to lead a 50 - person group solo of Diedre this summer. We're going to get a chain type of deal going where each climber will cycle through, do the descent and then start climbing again staying no more than five feet behind the person in front of them. I saw something very much like this a few weeks ago on High Mountain Woody. A party of 5, each with massive OVERNIGHT packs - one guy led and the next guy up trailed a rope and belayed the next guy and on and on

Thats nothing...I'm going to solo aid it, and drag up a portaledge to take naps on. I'll just need to put my haulbags on dollys for pulling up the slab. archenemy
That's nothing. I am going to haul not only my ledge, pig(s) and campstove up with me; but I am going to bring two dogs and a couple of carrying cages for them. Maybe a mini dog-run would be fun too. G-spotter
I'd say helmet cams, but it's no joke. I did see a party of 4 with tape gloves up to the elbow, and helmet cameras, climb Diedre a year or two ago.
