MountaingirlBC Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Does anyone know if these things generally start on time? I want to go but I'm in Vancouver and can't leave here until 4:00 so it'll be very tight especially with that lovely seattle rush hour traffic.
Dechristo Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 will there be items we can tear with our bare hands?

I want to go but I'm in Vancouver and can't leave here until 4:00 so it'll be very tight especially with that lovely seattle rush hour traffic. We are serving cookies and such at 6:30. He will start showing slides at 7:00. If I know Steve he'll probably start talking right about 7. Does that help?
MountaingirlBC Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Thanks much... now if you could do something about the traffic that would be great. And the border guards too please. I'd like to have the cute young guy who always waves me right through... not the short one who really wanted to be a cop who will send me to the time out room. Save me some cookies please How long do you think it will go?
dkemp Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 I dunno how long Steve will go, probably an hour and a half.
Weekend_Climberz Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 So, who went? How was the show? I wanted to go, but..[insert lame excuse here].
dkemp Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 Fantastic turnout - probably 200 people there. Images were beautiful. Steve is a good friend of mine and I was proud to see him up there doing it - I know public speaking can be really hard. I thought the strongest part of the show was the beginning and the end, actually, when he played music for ten minutes and just showed slides. My 2 cents.
MountaingirlBC Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 I didn't make it unfortunately. Long weekend border lineups scared me off. Could you give me his contact info? I'd like to know if he'll be doing it again.
dkemp Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 His website is here: Matera Photo Look under Contact. I'm sure he'd like to hear from you but I dont think he has another show in the works right now. BTW, Steve is one half of the instructor team for the Bushwhacker Outdoor Photography Course , the other half being the infamous Seth Pollack : Seth Pollack site
