G-spotter Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 It has specially been repainted green to make it visible. An invisible stealth helicopter wouldn't be very good illustration now would it? Quote

Off_White Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 As I understand it from my Park Sevice buddy, as long as the chopper doesn't land, it's legal, a matter for the FAA not the NPS. They had someone hover their helicopter 2' off the ground in the visitor center parking lot and found they couldn't do anything about it. Quote
Drederek Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Hail, Theoden, King! Does that heli ruling apply to National Conservation Areas as well? Specifically 2' above the summit of Mt Wilson at Red Rocks. Quote
