catbirdseat Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 His remarks to the Federalist Society How did such an intemperate and undignified man become justice of the highest court in the land? Oh, wait, don't answer that. Quote
DirtyHarry Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 So funny since he is such a proponent of the Separation of Powers theory that isn't ever spoken of in the Constitution, but is "inherent" in the document --according to Scalia anyway. Quote
catbirdseat Posted February 14, 2006 Author Posted February 14, 2006 He's basically calling some of his colleagues idiots. These are people that he are his "coworkers" with whom he will have to interact with for the rest of his and their lives. It's pretty stupid if you ask me. Quote
Dechristo Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 I'm sure any of the black-robed nine who have any length of tenure know where each other sit and stand and possess the self-confidence to speak their minds in chambers as well as in public; accustomed to differing opinions by default, they're fools if they don't learn to accept the spray if not enjoy it. tivoli_mike Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 group sex talk WASHINGTON - Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia's recent speeches have ventured into some surprising territory, with the staunchly conservative father of nine joking about sexual orgies. Â Scalia is known for a biting humor and is entertaining on the talk circuit and on the bench during the court's argument sessions. Â He raised some eyebrows with a speech this week at Harvard University, however, with a comment about the number of people needed for group sex and the jest that "sexual orgies eliminate social tensions and ought to be encouraged." Dechristo Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Scalia taking a lead from the Canadian court? Quote

Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Good thing bonobos can't read. Â So much for their repeated claims to be checking out Playmonkey magazine "just for the articles." Â Quote
DirtyHarry Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 DeChristo needs to stop checking out playmonkey mag and posting pics here, that shits highly disturbing. Quote

Dechristo Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Why is y'alls so freaked by a picture of a hairy humanoid? Nice legs, nice boobs, varoom!  Certain issues of National Geographic made forbidden to the young create pathologies. I've been healed via Bonobo group "therapy". Quote
Stefan Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 I wonder if Mr. Scalia reads the English translation of the Bible....because you know...there is a slightly different interpretation than what was said in its original dialect at the time... Â If he does read the English translation....well then, that would go against his philosophy...if he is a Christian. Quote
cj001f Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 If he does read the English translation....well then, that would go against his philosophy...if he is a Christian. He's a Catholic - you know, the ones who are divinely guided in interpretation, so it really isn't interpretation. I think he believes he's infused with the spirit of the writers of the Constitution so his interpretation is divinely guided as well. Quote
