Skiied off HWY2 Saturday also. With only 2 of us, couldn't really break trail it was so deep. Above treeline, was much more manageable, but windslab on sun crust and poor vis kept us getting after anything too ambitious.

 

On a related note, had literally 2 feet of snow in 11worth overnight. Took 35 minutes to dig out my truck. hellno3d.gif

Jeff H, Cman and I skied up on Nason Ridge today. We had a hard time breaking trail through the snow. Sking down you could make a turn when it was steep, but a lot of time even skiing 11s got you stopped with a huge pile of snow in front of you.

 

thats not "too deep", thats just snow that is too wet and heavy!

 

the Baker ski area is now reporting almost 300" for the month of Jan alone!!
