Generally speaking, as soon as the road is driveable to the trail head, the couloir is melted out to 7k + or - (south facing).

Haven't seen any TR's from this year yet. Specifically, I was wondering if the snow finger leading up to the west ridge notch has melted out yet. Anyone been up there recently? Thanks in advance.

Looks like Little Johannesburg(aka arches) to me. Probably taken from the trail down to fisher creek.

You might try doing a search on NWhikers.net or WTA.org for Lena Lake or the Brothers. Sounds like the trail is snow free to lower lena lake right now. No problems/special concerns I can think of up there. Have fun!

Sounds like your harness might be the issue. I've never had a problem adjusting leg loops around to drop trow and pee, or other, without unroping, aka Fern's technique.
