knotzen Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Any body want to come out to dark, wet, windswept Issyquah to drink beer at the Rogue ("Issaquah Brewhouse") tonight? I'll buy a pitcher. Â If I watch one more DVD I'm gonna poke myself in the eye with my knitting needles. Â Â No? I didn't think so. Quote
AlpineK Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 the rain is gone  I was working outside all day today. The rain let up for an hour or two.  I've been in full rubber jacket mode for three days this week. Not goretex(fuck that yuppy shit) I'm talking Helly Hansen.  Here's to true NW experiences. Quote

AlpineK Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Helly Hansen Sucks. Get Grundens. Â Grundens for yuppy sailors. Go to Salmon Bay Sand and Gravel. All they've got is Helly in either yellow or green. Â I've got some Sandvik rubber boots too. Quote

wayne Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 How did this become the raingear thread? Being an outside worker myself, I prefer Nitrile for flexible ,light pants and Grundens for a bombproof top. The Grunds lasted through 6+ years fighting through rebar, right up to the point someone stole them. Â I definatly was in the North Sea 20 stories up in the Seattle skyline this week!!!!!!!! I dont see how these other guys put up with it not being alpine climbers and all.I almost cried myself tues and thur Quote
Squid Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 No but didn't you read my Peyote link? Don't you see my new avatar image?  Holy Shit. I have an uncontrollable urge to go read the Tibetan Book of the Dead and splash patchouli all over!! Quote
