Many of the conservatives there mearly want a circle jerk. Trask is a anomouly. He is a old-school republican, of the Dan Evans ilk, and seems tired of the Bushites. I like Trask. Yes, it is the cc elephants graveyard. This place is really no better, but it does have alot more climbing content. Unfortunately, this thread may get pulled. Some moderator here hates ALL mention of asc. and has pulled multiple threads in which asc. is mentioned. Pathetic. Quote

I only go there now and then, when I'm feeling bored and in a dark mood and feel like gazing into the armpit (one of the armpits) of human existance. kinda like when I'm surfing thru the channels on teevee and I'll stop and watch 10 minutes of some "reality" show. but why censor out any mention of it? lame. An alternative to other climbing Bulletin Board Systems (e.g., cc.com, etc.); less bickering and BS; more talk of climbing. Please help the popularity and usefulness of the site by registering a username and posting trip reports, conditions, and discussion of all things climbing (access issues, etc.). Naturally, with any new BBS, Ascensionist.com will initially lack content, but with your help this will change.
