Gary_Yngve Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 I dig Big Time! I can stumble home easily! I've been to maybe one pub club since the New Year? That has to change...
BreezyD Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 41st & University in the U-District. Their website has directions .... and a coupon for a dollar off a pitcher! Big Time Brewery Home Page
Dave_Schuldt Posted April 5, 2005 Author Posted April 5, 2005 Big Time it is! See you gapers there. Gary, I have that Clash CD for you.
mattp Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 I may have some cool pictures to share. Anybody else got something for show and tell? Gary?
DirtyHarry Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 Big Time is a good place to drink beer and socialize.
Gary_Yngve Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 I spent a week in England. Exciting, but no climbing. I have a bunch of pics from skiing and hiking this winter, though the last time I brought my laptop to PubClub, I got made fun of. Maybe sometime when I have more of a chance to prep pics, say the Spring picnic...
mattp Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 I'm having a problem with my scanner, and can't seem to get the TWAIN software to reset so I can scan some slides. My show and tell offering will have to wait. You got a picture of the London Tower or sumptin?
Gary_Yngve Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 I have a variety of pics from London, Bath, Salisbury (and Stonehenge), and Cambridge. highlights of the trip included: bicycling to Stonehenge the Oxford-Cambridge boat race on the Thames Bach's Easter Oratorio in King's College Chapel on Easter Eve eating/drinking at pubs/cafes frequented by some of the brightest minds of the 20th century
marylou Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 I can't make it tonight, but have some pics from my recent trip to Singapore and Malaysia that I might share sometime soon.

I have witnessed all of the above except the classical music thing. Back when I lived in England in the early 80's you could walk in amongst the stones of Stonehenge. There was a grass or rudimentary gravel parking lot and maybe a toilet and that's about it. Now the monument is off-limits, fenced off (sort of), and it is a spectacle (or so I've heard).
klenke Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 I printed out a coupon for myself and another for someone else. Anyone else can too (a piece of paper and printer ink is cheaper than $1, so do it). Here is the coupon to print. Big Time is still at 4133 University Way. Still practically across the street from Schultzy's.

My mom told me about her experience at Stonehenge in 1968. Very different from my experience, which I wrote up on the UW board: http://uw.cascadeclimbers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2078
snugtop Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 good times last night ...enlightened discussion such as whether MattP has 4 wives and whether Dru is a serial killer who makes collages of all his avatars.
