Dru Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 What do you call it when you make an Americano but instead of diluting the espresso with water, you use drip coffee? I've always called these things "depth charges" but lately I have beenmeeting baristas who don't seem to have ever heard the term Quote
EWolfe Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 I thought this was going to be about farting under the covers then leaving the bed. Quote
Harkin_Banks Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 I like where this one is heading! Quote
Harkin_Banks Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 I think the depth charge is also called a hammerhead or cup o crack or train wreck. Quote
EWolfe Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 The Hot Carl In a Cup  You use that that for gargling? Quote
Harkin_Banks Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 it is best to sip it while enjoying a Seattle Hot Pocket Quote
specialed Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Followed up by a warm American Mudshake. Quote
Gidget Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Farting under the covers, we always called that a dutch oven. Quote
Dru Posted February 14, 2005 Author Posted February 14, 2005 ...finally, an explanation for what's goin on in lancegranite's picture  Quote
KaskadskyjKozak Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Â I thought a depth charge was dropping a shot of tequila into a beer... Quote
Harkin_Banks Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 What makes it a dutch oven is pulling the covers over the unsuspecting prey until they vomit Quote
Gidget Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 That is right, have not played that on the hubby in a while. I guess the dog would beg to differ on that. Quote
jordop Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 This drink is sometimes called a RED EYE. Saw it first in an awesome coffee shop in Tofino. Quote
KaskadskyjKozak Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 This drink is sometimes called a RED EYE. Saw it first in an awesome coffee shop in Tofino. Â A red eye is plus spreading butt cheeks... Quote
Gidget Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 I thought a red eye was vodka with a raw egg yoke and some hot sauce. Quote
Harkin_Banks Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 I thought it was the eye that won't wink, it only stinks. Quote
Dru Posted February 14, 2005 Author Posted February 14, 2005 somebody PMed me that a depth charge is a shot of whiskey dropped into a pint glass of Guinness, but I've always heard that called a boilermaker Quote
Gidget Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 A boiler maker is a shot of whiskey dropped into a regular ale  I found this for a depth charge  depth charge Quote
Alpinfox Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 (edited) somebody PMed me that a depth charge is a shot of whiskey dropped into a pint glass of Guinness, but I've always heard that called a boilermaker  I think that's an "Irish Carbomb" or something like that.   edit: Belfast carbomb = 1/2 shot whiskey, 1/2 shot Bailey's Irish Cream, drop shot into pint O' Guiness, finish immediately. Boilermaker = 1.5oz whiskey dropped into 12oz beer. Edited February 14, 2005 by Alpinfox Quote
DirtyHarry Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Columbian car bomb. Â Hence my earlier post, Eistein. Quote
Gidget Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 YES, th at is what it is. I knew there was a name for that. I had an Italian co-worker who used to drag me out to bars and make me do those. He could not beleive that me being Irish had never heard of them before. Quote
