pu Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 So, I am at the local gym the other night and it is kids climbing team practice. Little fockers were everywhere. Point being, I noticed a group of youngsters probably half a dozen ages 8-12, over by the campus board. Their coach was helping them campus and encouraging them to campus on their own. WTF. This doesn't seem like a good idea. Any thoughts on it? Quote
Figger_Eight Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 IMO that might be a bit much for that age group. Quote
RuMR Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 its fine...teaches coordination and timing...tyson knows what he's doing and has produced many nationally ranked climbers... Â those kids were selected for that team...its not a walkon deal... Quote
RuMR Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 what gym are you at? 8-12? The youngest on the VW team is 12... Quote
specialed Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 climbing competitions and climbing teams and national rankings suck Quote
RuMR Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 Â I don't like sports cuz i always got whooped...i like to be out in the boonies, dealin wit da wild on its own terms, cuz that's where real chestbeatin' folks play.... Â actually, i meant to say i gots no game of any kind... Â Quote
Figger_Eight Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 If you're assuming those kids are over the age of 12, then yeah...that's fine. If they aren't, then I think it's too much. But whatever - Pete's right anyways. Quote

ashw_justin Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 Seriously though, what's up are they trying to make some mini-sharmas or what. Do they tell them to avoid leg exercise too, or do they do that on their own? BTW, when are they going to get around to putting the tram up to Little Si? Quote
RuMR Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 WTF are you talking about, justin? You think the team is a bad idea? Â Getreal... Quote

EWolfe Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 Can't i just get you to carry my pack so my legs don't get big? Â Quote
