WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Hey Fred,

I'm curious as to what has caused you to make this decision. Was it one thing you saw, or is it cumulative?

ashw_justin thank you for making that effort at redirecting spray. The way the threads are managed here it is not easy to preserve a single good post out of a long string of unnecessary ones without leaving behind a bunch of blanks and "message deleted" notes etc. If the ultimate goal is to leave a thread that is more readable and on-topic than it was before getting sprayed on, sometimes it is unavoidable that a lone quality post be lost along with the rest of the trimmings. The best way to avoid this is to click on the Reply button of the first post of the thread, or another on-topic post rather than using the quick post function at the bottom of the page. thank you for using cc.com and have a good dinner wave.gif

I seem to recall that this thread from seven years ago wasn't actually Fred writing, but some other mouthpiece with an agenda.
