chris Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 I'm having the same problem as Carolyn - the poll machine says I've already voted... Thank Buddha this isn't the presidential election.....

jon Posted August 6, 2004 Author Posted August 6, 2004 Wierd. I guess I'll start a new poll and post the link in reply. 24th - 26th isn't an option because it is the Jack Johnson/G.Love concert.
Billygoat Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 Fuck climbing! Where the hell are those cats playin'?
Billygoat Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 Got any tix?! Sept. 17 - 19 for Lovin'Worth Fest is good for me.
jon Posted August 6, 2004 Author Posted August 6, 2004 Check online for Bend, you can roll with me if you get one, I might be staying down there a while though.
gearho Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 Bend is on Friday...Gorge is on Saturday...Bend is $5 cheaper...
gapertimmy Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 and... the les schwab amphitheater is a tad bit smaller of a venue than the gorge at george. not to mention bend is the capital of west coast SICKNESS.
catbirdseat Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 So is it settled then? Oct. 1-3. How come so few people voted? I hope it isn't an indication of turnout.
EWolfe Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Just wait until Timm@y starts posting pictures of his HC. That will get them coming.
BreezyD Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Considering my attendance at the 11worth RopeUp ... Those of you in the know ... please describe this event to the best of your ability ... IN ONE WORD. What should this gal expect?
SnowByrd Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Those dates suck. Its too close to Smithfest! I can't do both. Maybe that's why so few people voted. Oh well.....hope you all have fun

jon Posted August 11, 2004 Author Posted August 11, 2004 Those dates suck. Its too close to Smithfest! I can't do both. Maybe that's why so few people voted. Oh well.....hope you all have fun To early and it too soon to plan. And to hot. Too late and it's too cold and wet. The window of opportunity is small. Be thankful that you are able to attend one.
SnowByrd Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Oh...I'm sure I'll find a way to attend both. Who am I thanking? The climbing Gods, the Beer Gods, or the sex in the bushes Gods? Do you need any help with either of these events? I've promised to bring a keg of my famous home brew to Smith...but I'd be happy to help in any way I can with 11worth as well. I just like to complain
fern Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Another 1000 Ropeup Words: It is a weekend in the fall when a big bunch of people who post on this stupid website gather in Leavenworth to talk shit in person and drink beer and even maybe go climbing. There have been 3 of these events so far - each with a different flavah - a search through the archives will probably reveal some fun spray "Traditionally" there has been a keg or two (or three?) provided. There have been pancake breakfasts and bratwursts and other things. Big campfire. Last year there was giveaways and a bunch of slide shows and a very long boring raffle - and also presentations by park rangers or something, I missed that part 'cause it happened WAY early like 10:30am or something and I was asleep yo. Previous years were not as bling but plab times too. This years happenings are yet to be determined but it's not like anyone's handing out chores. What happens happens - casuallike.
SnowByrd Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 hahahahahahaha...is that AlpineK sitting there?
mattp Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 In addition to being a party, Ropeup has gotten a lot of climbers together -- people who would not otherwise have climbed together. Some have made their first multipitch climbs, or tried "outside" climbing for the first time, or .... Leavenworth last year: Smith last year: Leavenworth the year before:
