made4mantels Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 Does anybody know what the fastest time is, or who has the fastest time car to car of the complete n. ridge with the gendarme pitches. I heard some guys did in 20 hours this weekend, which seems kind of fast. Quote
MCash Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 From Speedclimb.com: Â Complete North Ridge of Mt. Stuart, Guy Edwards (from Vancouver BC), 6:47, car to car. October 2001 Quote
ryland_moore Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 I am pretty sure Erik and his partner did it a lot faster than 20 hours last year descending the Sherpa Glacier. Quote
goatboy Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 Car to car from South Side (Teanaway), Upper N Ridge only (with Gendarme), Descend Cascadian, 19 and a half hours for me and my partner in October of 2002. Â certainly no record but Christ, still felt like a good, long day to me! Quote
specialed Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 I think Erik and I were at like 14 or so via northside. Southside IS faster. Guy Edwards time is fast as hell. The usual suspects (Sean Courage and Mark Kroese)did it in a similar time, maybe faster, though I don't remember the exact time Sean told me. Quote
dbb Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 do a search on this site, as this was discussed before. I think there was a list of sub 8 hour car to car trips. I think mr. smart was in there too. Those times are pretty wild just given the milage and elevation gain! Quote
specialed Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 Its so doable though if going from the southside since the descent is so chill. If your party feels comfortable simul-climbing the lower section, then soloing the upper ridge (except the gendare), if you're in reasonably good shape its totally cool. Quote
