uhm... that is not a comedy. nor is koyanisquatsi or nayquoiquatsi. hahaha.gif

I think Chirp was responding to Layton's offering of Happiness as a comedy. If you found that film funny, you might try Affliction. yellaf.gif

Two totally noir French comedies starring a young Gerard Depardieu that I found quite funny:

Get out your Handkerchiefs (1978). Oscar winner for best foreign film. Outrageous theme and plot.

Buffet Froid (1979) about hapless murderers. A total hoot this movie.

Other good comedies:

The Horse's Mouth starring Alec Guiness (1956-British)

Jour de Fete (1949-French) about a bicycle postman who tries to modernize delivery but with slapstick results. Very Buster Keaton like.

Go Tell the Spartans (1978) starring Burt Lancaster. Comedy-drama about the insanities of the beginning of the Vietnam war.

There are always others I could recommend but these are a good start.

Il Monstro (The Monster) is so fucking funny Roberto Benini, is believed to be a serial killer he observed so that they can prove he is.

Johny Stecchino (Johny toothpick) again Roberto Benini, He looks like a mafioso type character, when in reality he is a bus driver.

Dellacatessin is dark comedy about the people that live in a building that house a dellacatessin.
