RuMR Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 Great!! Now you've gone and done it...i can see the headlines now! "Man, going by name of Pope, has started shooting up Exit 32---SWAT TEAM called in" Quote
specialed Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 I think it may have been to remarks on the guide and Viktor, especially for all the work he has done and good things he has provided for the climbing community. Ignorance is bliss, monkeyboy. Quote
slothrop Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 Time for a pic...too much text makes us so grumpy!! Freshies from SE King county!! Is that the sweet granite in Renton? What's up with the bolt in the bottom left corner? And why do you use those quasi-biner things? Quote

Actually Quasi-Renton Bolt in the left hand corner has been removed and filled in with epoxy and dust...this is the top of the "first pitch" Quote
slothrop Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 Yeah, yeah, but why not a bit of chain and rap rings on the ends? Why use weird clippy links? Quote
chirp Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 Lol cause these have been in my bolt bag for 4 years, I needed to get rid of them somewhere! Quote
Dru Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 So we did some climbing at Mt Erie today. I lead a pitch that ended up at a ledge with this cool half dead juniper. Instead of tying off the tree I clipped a nice new set of bolts. In my view the bolted station is reducing the impact of humans on this tree. There's such a big deal placed on how bolts screw up the rock, but all things considered these bolts are actually improving the environment. Trees are bad. Instead of bolting, we should kill more trees. Kill!!! Kill!!! Quote
