The glare of spotlights.

"PLEASE LEAVE THE AREA. THE PARK IS CLOSED!"

The first Pub Club rousted by The Man. It happened at Golden Gardens. Eleven PM sharp. Always leave 'em wanting more.

My NORTH FACE fleece reeks of campfire smoke. I got sand in my socks. Life is good, standing on the beach, drinking a concealed, FREE, beverage, gazing out at the twilight Olympics.

Got to spray considerably about climbing. Lots o' Pub Club glitterati about. I came late. I did not take notes. I will not present an exhaustive attendance list.

Don't miss the next one at GG. It ruled. icon14.gif

me, hikerwa, Ralph, to the Top, ehmmic, V, Sayjay, Wayne1112, GF, dog, 009, 2 dogs, ChucK, Alpine K, Juan, Erik, Carolyn (from Minnasody, did Tooth with F8 today!!), Figger Eight, Dave W, MattP. Chris W, Dave Schuldt, Dr. Jay and "friend", CoonDog, and a lot of other people who I can't remember right now. It was an excellent Pub Club despite the fact that I got Seam Grip in my hair while trying to seam seal my damn tent, but I also got rid of a lot of marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers.

Kudos to Ehmmic for calling Pub Club at Shilshole despite heavy law enforcement presence on the beach, who once again SINGLED OUT MattP!!

It was a fun time despite the early last call at 11:00. I'm glad we made it back from our day out on the Tooth, showing Carolyn another fine alpine climb.

See ya'll next week.

Is there a dark, subversive side to MattP that only trained law enforcement can spot? I have met MattP, and climbed with him, and he seems like a pretty mellow guy. Am I missing something? Should I be concerned about Government agents storming out of the woods if I climb with him?

Sorry I missed P.C., sounded fun.

I think Matt got the cuffs 'cause he's the only one who looks to be over 21.

Thanks for a great PC. Well worth the trip from the Eastside.

nice way to end my trip watching the sunset over the mtns, drinking a beer (and NO it was NOT a budweiser! [Razz] - that was in Erik's hand), and meeting some more of you folks.

when I walked out of the bathroom, everyone was gone...except for jay... he was stumbling around with his headlamp looking for me. Sheeet! Good thing I had his car keys, eh? Or I would have been left stumbling around seattle, gear in hand from earlier in the day, trying to figure out how to get back to where I was staying. [laf]

made it back to my home territory last night, where the sun is shining...the humidity lurks heavily in the air...and the mosquitoes are now the size of birds! Gotta luv Minneeesota! [big Grin]

Might try to write a tr later on for those of you who didnt hear of my month long adventure in the PNW.

Thanks to those who contributed in making my stay yet another memorable one! [smile]

chau!

Speaking as a jack-booted government thug, the reason mattp gets harrassed is those shifty little eyes. Supverseive pinko communist insurrgants always have shiffty eyes. You can just tell Mattp is up to something. Today he's not paying for his forest pass, tommorrow he is trying to overthrow the government. [Razz]
