ken4ord Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 Hey doesn't belong in the bouldering photo haters forum? Nice shots. Quote
John Frieh Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 Nice work Distel... By chance do you know that boulder problem that consists of a ~12 ft. roof crack that turns the lip and climbs for ~10 ft.? It's in the white water area (I think that's what its called but lets be honest I'm not in the know). I'm wondering if you know the rating. Quote
Distel32 Posted April 5, 2004 Author Posted April 5, 2004 Across the street from the swift water picnic area? Royal Flush, a very cool crack, V2-3 Quote
John Frieh Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 Yup thats the one. Sweet. Is that rating in the newer guide book or would someone need to look else where to determine how weak they are? Quote
Distel32 Posted April 5, 2004 Author Posted April 5, 2004 I have the July 2002 bouldering guide. they call it v2, but almost all the problems in Damian's guide are sandbagged, mostly the old classics it seems are knocked down a number. That's why I said 2-3. Quote
DCramer Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 Lots of people were messing around on the boulders below Zekes last weekend. Quote
John Frieh Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 Don't get me wrong; by no means (including divine intervention) am I descent boulderer (sub par comes to mind). How sucky you ask? I lead harder trad than sport (which might explain my ability to do this problem but not others). But what’s my point? I'm not trying to sandbag, but that crack honestly feels like 10+ to me which would make it no harder than V1 (assuming I understand verm’s scale correctly). Hmmm... Thoughts? Quote
Distel32 Posted April 5, 2004 Author Posted April 5, 2004 yeah all my friends from seattle have been going out quite a bit. Quote
texplorer Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 I guess instead of having belay slaves, boulderererers have camera slaves. Nice picturesqes Luke. Quote
lummox Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 I guess instead of having belay slaves, boulderererers have camera slaves. Nice picturesqes Luke. when i first read this shizzle i thought about a tree fallin gin the woods not making a sound unless a boulderer took a picutre. or something like that. Quote
iain Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 if you scroll down this page fast enough it's actually a motion picture. Quote
