thelawgoddess Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 dru, how did you know? i'm not waiting for the same thing you are, though; my "event" will be way better! but that sounds like a great show. i didn't realize you were a little tweaker! Quote
specialed Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 Is Britney Spears performing in Vancouver tonight? Or maybe its dollar Molson night at the Canucks game? Quote
Dru Posted March 23, 2004 Author Posted March 23, 2004 Â "tweaker"? This is hip hop not some glowstick-twirling raver trance show Quote
thelawgoddess Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 c'mon; it's not top 40 hip-hop. i always see tweakers at those kinds of shows. Â but YOU will be twirlin' on your head then? Quote
Dru Posted March 23, 2004 Author Posted March 23, 2004 i have my special shiny stretch polyester bell bottoms on...frickin softshell .... and i predict moves will be busted tonight Quote
scott_harpell Posted March 24, 2004 Posted March 24, 2004 Damn that was a show. There were tracks spun from moon river, to the beastie boys, to hard breaks, to pantera. What the hell. Who all ended up going? I saw a couple cc.commers present. Great show! Quote
Dru Posted March 24, 2004 Author Posted March 24, 2004 and they all in seattle tonight and pdx tomorrow so no excuses to mis it! Â this is my pictorial TR Quote

scott_harpell Posted March 24, 2004 Posted March 24, 2004 and kid koala, bonobo, blockhead... etc. don't miss it. Quote
Dru Posted March 24, 2004 Author Posted March 24, 2004 you gotta give diplo credit for opening the show and warming up the crowd who had no interest in him too. Quote
scott_harpell Posted March 24, 2004 Posted March 24, 2004 yeh. I was pleasantly surprised actually. Amon stole the show with the pantera though. Mabe not the greatest track, but certainly a crowd pleaser. Where is the headbanging gremlin when you need it?!? Quote
Dru Posted March 25, 2004 Author Posted March 25, 2004 i saw all these frat boy types show up just for the amon set. personally i liked the other djs better Quote
scott_harpell Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 Seriously! What was with the bar choches? I really enjoyed bonobo. I thought blockhead was rather uninspired. I like his music, but it sounded exactly like his album, with little creative deviation. Gotta love kid koala too though... that lil' man can spin! Quote
