I still like it after 20-some yrs. I mean, probably I could come up with 50 others, from Mitch Ryder's Devil With A Blue Dress to my personal theme song Won't Back Down. But something about Keith Richards' turrets-like squawking and those guitar licks make that song still stick in my head... What's yours? It is a cover though "Yu Gung" done by Pussy Galore That one rocks, pummels for like six straight minutes but never gets boring or wearisome. And I think the irony in your statement is that for the past 30 years nobody has come up with a whole new, original style (rap is debatably one). Not saying there hasn't been good music made in the past dozen years---there has. But it's not a whole new style and it's not superlative compared to the prior two-dozen years, and it's also riddled with bad covers. IMO. However, there's been some kick ass derivitave music, that's for sure! I have a historical correction, though: Rap is 30 years old. The Last Poets and Gil Scott Heron were doing it in the early '70's although it came into its own as a new genre with GrandMasterFlash about 1980 or so. Hell, "Undercover", Stones do new-wave/disco, kicks ass on Little T & A. Sheesh. Oh wait, I was wrong, Little T & A does kick serious ass on "Devil with the blue Dress". Gag me.
