catbirdseat
Does it ever happen to you where a song get's stuck in your head and the melody keeps going even though you don't even like the song? In fact, you might actually detest the song. Here's an example. WARNING, if you are in the least bit suggestible stop reading here. If you do read on DO NOT THINK about this melody. Wake me up before you go-go Don't leave me hanging on like a yo-yo Wake me up before you go-go I don't want to miss it when you hit that high Wake me up before you go-go 'Cause I'm not plannin' on going solo Wake me up before you go-go Take me dancing tonight I wanna hit that high (yeah, yeah)

bunglehead
We had joy. We had fun. We had Seasons in the sun. But the….. You know the funny thing about this song, the b-side of the 45 is a song called "Put the Bone in" It's pretty hilarious, actually. Too bad my copy cracked several years ago. I think Terry Jacks lives on an island in up in B.C. now.

catbirdseat
Who can forget Glen Campbell. Like a rhinestone cowboy. Riding out on a horse in a star spangled rodeo. Rhinestone cowboy Getting cards and letters from people I don't even know And offers coming over the phone
Figger_Eight
"Brown Girl in the Ring" by Boney M. On a whim I downloaded the song from Limewire. That song is even more annoying played in it's entirety.
marylou
The antidote for all songs stuck in your head is the theme from the Flinstones. Trust me, and it doesn't even stick with you or nuttin'.
murraysovereign
The theme music from "Hockey Night in Canada" works well for expunging unwanted soundtracks, too. My sister learned that one when she went to Australia, of all places. How would Australians get to be that familiar with the theme from "Hockey Night in Canada"? My worst experience was during Expo 86, I spent three days accompanied by that infernal whistling theme from the Andy Griffiths Show - "Down by the Fishing Hole", I think it's called.
