EWolfe Posted January 11, 2004 Share Posted January 11, 2004 (edited) Somewhere between the short days and the holidays, pacing manically in a too-big apartment I realized I had room for a bouldering cave. No more than 150 square feet, but enough to burn the abs and keep in the game. Wit the help of my friend Brian, we started saturday morning. After a couple of hours, it was coming together: Experimenting with a small formation on the tall end seemed like a good way to fill an unstable corner: Brian helped me set the rest of the panels for this phase, andthe holds start to go up: The end of phase 1: 8 feet wide, 12 foot roof with a 3 foor stub wall at the low end. When the formation goes in and I stabilize the wing, I can put in a 16' boulder problem. Phase two next week. Whirly moved out - that's why I have room now Maybe a pubclub/bouldering sesh next week or two. The cost is maybe $150 for lumber, screws and t-nuts, and another $600 for holds .
