Fairweather Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 Good post. Remember the sanctions heaped on Gingrich when he accepted a book advance? Where is the media outrage re Hillary? .....More evidence of liberal media bias. Hillary=Winnie Mandella Quote
micajones Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 If That crooked tramp ever buys her way into the oval office, I'll exchange my zip for postal code. More mts anyway up there. Quote

If I remember right it took a while for Whitewater to get play in the media, but once it did the media sure went after the Clintons. They didn't jump on Newt pronto either. This post is yet another example of how you are an Angry White Conservative I'm sure your buddy Rush is trying to whip up a frenzy. Quote
Fairweather Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 Doh! You are a relentless angry white liberal AK; stalking me from thread to thread...appearing out of nowhere like a bad dream, countering my every point with hollow drivel. Hillary is evil. Gang of four (or was it seven?) type shit. But I'll admit, if she were my wife, my johnson be seeking the semi-cuboidal tissues of other women as well. I can't blame Bill for that one! Oh yeh! Go buy some real skis ass-wipe! Quote
AlpineK Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 I will freely admit that I would not vote for Hillary if given the option. Also I have never, and I will never read or buy a book by a politician. Quote
Fence_Sitter Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 semi-cuboidal tissues dood...we got some other synonyms for that euphamism that might ya know... roll of the tongue ( ) a bit better... PM for details... Quote
j_b Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 personally i find the amount of money involved totally obscene but no more so than say lebron james getting an $80million shoe contract before playing a single nba game (and look at it this way, she is not making money because of concurrent positions in federal policy making offices and the oil/military industries, which, imo, is much more troubling). i also find the continuous smear campaign on the clintons getting beyond very old. they have been the most investigated couple in american politics (at the expense of much taxpayer's money) and nothing was ever found to substantiate allegations of improprieties (well besides him getting a blow on the job). perhaps, someday, fairweather will provide argumentation for his diatribes but i am not holding my breath. i also think hillary clinton would probably make a pretty decent president. Fairweather Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 j_b = sexual chocolate What evidence are you looking for? The record is clear regarding the disparate treatment given by the press regarding Hillary's book deal versus Newt's. I have no problem with the $$ amount! That is apparently what the free market will bear. I realize this concept is foreign to you j_b. Quote
Jim Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 Hel-loo - Newt got in trouble because he negoiated a deal with Rupert Murdock's lobbyist - someone who was lobbying him. Hillary's deal was an open bid process, no sneaky deals. Newt was also jumped on because he led the charge to get the old speaker of the house - Jim Wright - tossed out because of his book deal. Pot calling the kettle black. How soon we forget the details. Quote
Winter Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 Its called a "selective memory" based on whatever facts serve the conservative agenda. Its sort of like "selective disclosure" ... a close cousin of "voluntary compliance." Quote
Ursa_Eagle Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 is this kind of like: "what's this you say about WMD? This war has always been about the liberation of the Iraqi people!" Quote
j_b Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 you have to grant them something though: they have become experts at slinging mud (they got quite a bit of practice during the 2 clinton terms) however they must be getting desperate to dig a 2 year old story to continue smearing h.clinton. bashing a strong woman with character always seems appealing to neanderthals. Pot calling the kettle black. How soon we forget the details. Now Jim, you're leaving out the part about the IRS completely clearing Gingrich of any wrong-doing in its subsequent investigation. Of course this was long after the press had already convicted him, but who cares about fairness when its a prominent Republican being hunted down. Right? And did Bill and Hillary really sit quietly on the sidelines while NG's book-deal controversy raged? I doubt it. As for j_b's "Neanderthal" comment: Mattp stated in a recent thread that liberals might be a bit smug, but weren't prone to name calling. I guess he forgot about j_b. j_b, I have rarely encountered an individual as arrogant and smug as yourself. Perhaps meeting in person your ego would be more tempered, but I have no desire to ever meet you and doubt I would even shake your hand. I presume you hold post-graduate degrees of some sort and feel this gives you license. Onward, I could draw many conclusions about a person like you but I'll leave it at this for now. Quote
j_b Posted May 31, 2003 Posted May 31, 2003 although it should be obvious to everyone (including you), my neanderthal comment was directed at the following kind of intervention (yours by the way): Hillary is evil. Gang of four (or was it seven?) type shit. But I'll admit, if she were my wife, my johnson be seeking the semi-cuboidal tissues of other women as well. I can't blame Bill for that one! i can't describe how much i despise unwarranted, disparaging attacks like the above. how do you want me to describe it? as a well thought out, well supported, fair argument? considering how much hate for women with power exudes from it, i think that 'neanderthal' is pretty accurate. i stand by it. , I could draw many conclusions about a person like you but I'll leave it at this for now. what's suddenly stopping you? isn't it what pretty much every single post of yours is about? i mean to accuse everyone who disagrees with you of being a traitor, socialist, homo and what not? Quote
Fairweather Posted May 31, 2003 Posted May 31, 2003 It's called humor. (first quote above) Something you seem to lack. I have no problem with women in power, as long as they aren't meeting secretly behind closed doors (ala Hillary-care) while attempting to inflict socialist ideology on the health insurance benefits that I work very hard for. So are you saying that Bill Clinton is a neanderthal? I thought my attempt to exonorate his behavior would have curried your favor. Forgive me o great humorless one! Show me where I've ever called anyone "homo" or "traitor". You can't, because I haven't. "Socialist", yes. But then I doubt you would consider that label disparaging. Quote
allthumbs Posted May 31, 2003 Posted May 31, 2003 I used to get all hot and bothered by j_b. I don't anymore. I take solace in the fact that I have many friends and business acquaintances that know and love me. J_b on the other hand must spend his days knowing everybody despises him and much of what he stands for. I would kill myself if I had to spend one day in the life of j_b the super Tool. Quote
j_b Posted May 31, 2003 Posted May 31, 2003 humor, my ass! this shows you don't even have the courage to stand by what you write (which i completely understand since it is often totally stupid). you should drop the cold war rhetoric it makes you look either paranoiac or retarded (your choice) Quote
Fence_Sitter Posted May 31, 2003 Posted May 31, 2003 uh j_b...fairweather isnt' talking about the cold war cheif...ya know socailism was present before and after the cold war... but then again...i'm sure you already knew that...riiiight and what about fairweather's argument did he not stand by? the part that you said he said, but haven't shown us yet? ok...you find it...then you can come back crying and blow the whistle...but until then.. get back to huffin gas and shut up... Quote
j_b Posted May 31, 2003 Posted May 31, 2003 you are right that there has always been weirdos who declare any program (social or not) as being socialist but by those standards veteran benefits and filling potholes would fit the bill as well. it's totally ludicrous. anything that fairweather said about h.clinton is unsubstantiated. Quote
Fence_Sitter Posted May 31, 2003 Posted May 31, 2003 what about hillary being evil? i am sure that you cant dispute that! Quote
