Sphinx
Why is it that when people are online they get so immature? I swear, the stuff that goes on here is what I would expect from teenagers or pre-teenagers. Races for pagetops, flaming for the sake of flaming, juvenile insults, excuses and chestbeating galore, hyper-inflated egos, etc, etc, etc. AND I have reason to believe that the majority of the posters here are (supposedly) adults. Sure, there are exceptions, Mattp and Colin come to mind, but what's wrong with the rest of you? Need some new meds?

Fejas
Whats wrong with a little imaturety every once in a wile; the internet gives us a place to let that inner child run free... and I would say that it also gives younger people a place to play like they are more mature than they really are too... The answer is a percieved lack of consequences for churlish (and childish) behavior. I think a lot of people chafe all day long at work having to rein in their more vulgar instincts. They can "let it all hang out" and say all the nasty things they would like to say to their bosses.
Sphinx
And then you meet them at Pub Club and they all seem so normal....and you wonder what's wrong with us. Is it just climbers, or is it everyone?
pope
Personally, I act like J.A. on this site to make you more comfortable, by matching your "maturity level" (and I use the words loosely).
glacierdog
It's easy to be immature here because it's mostly anonymous. Come on, who among you has never wanted to tell some one to suck the farts out of your ass? It's okay here. That's what the internet is for! That and the unchecked distribution of porn. Take what you want from it.
