Alex
Luckily Dave left before the Sloop Tavern mega-beers kicked in and the various Clubsters got too sloshed to coherantly talk about climbing!
mattp
He told me yesterday that he expects to have it out in a month or something. Tripple that, and it will still be available by the time the real Darrington climbing season gets under way. Lots of folks will be wanting to head up there as soon as possible, but summer begins the week after 4th of July, right?

Figger_Eight
So does anyone know how the road is?
johnny_destiny
I can report on the road in a day or so. A couple of my friends go up there and look for bear and cat sign.
mattp
As of May 2, the road is open and the climbs are drying out in between rainstorms. Snow lingers at the base of some of the crags.
JayB
It's been at least a week since someone asked about when the Guidebook will be out so.....
mattp
I don't know what to tell you, JayB. Meanwhile, head out there with whatever guidebook you have - Smoot or Traveller's or Nelson or downloads from my web page - and be prepared for reality to differ slightly from what you see depicted there (my drawings are pretty up-to date, though). chucK
Hey JayB, Go do Rain Man on Exfoliation dome. Don't worry about the 10c crux, you can yard on a bolt right on thru . Either go to the top (runout no bolts ) or rap from where it meets up with Dark Rhythm. Then if you've got some of the day leftover do Dark Rhythm up to the merge point. That might keep you busy with a quality outing. And if you've done it, well....nevermind .
Off_White
Anyone been on that this year? Did I recall some report about a big flake coming off over there, with potential bolt damage?
mattp
A large flake may have damaged or chopped some bolts on the first two pitches of Dark Rhythm but I looked at it from a distance and couldn't tell.
