Nick Sweeney Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 This route is a bit off the beaten path, but undeniably classic and honestly pretty mellow for a 7 pitch 5.10a (guidebook grade). The perfect way to wrap up alpine rock season! Full TR with photos here: Spokalpine 1 Quote
Phil K Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Cool TR, that's a spectacular face. How was the road? Back around 2018 or '19 we drove that in my wife's Prius (Not my idea!), shortly after it had been regraded with dozens of water bars. I was sure we were going to get stuck and cause a huge Cluster F. Quote
genepires Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 that is one stunning and fun hunk of rock. if it was within 2 hour drive of a major city, it would be loved to death. Quote

Even with its location, it's still extremely popular. Tons of climbers and non-climbers alike up there! Quote
genepires Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 (edited) I have only one trip in there so my data set is unreliable but there was no one else anywhere. maybe just lucky. how many people were around on your trip? 2 other pairs on your route and one pair on sailor jerry. your photos look pretty vacant of people. So, so much more. There are some epic scrambles and moderates up to hard core. In Summer of '22 a party in camp had a preliminary copy of a new guide book that was supposed to come out this year. 2 Quote
