When you said "it" am I to assume you mean "it" means Prussik Peak? Caveman, I am interested in the west ridge. So far there are three definites and I am trying to find out if we have a fourth. The fourth is a strong "if" at this point in time. I will let you know. Quote

Kyle_Flick Posted October 16, 2001 Posted October 16, 2001 We were up in the Enchantments on Sunday doing a day hike in the Lost World Plateau. There was snow on the rock where we crossed over Cannon mountain (8000'). As we passed by Temple Ridge it looked fairly snow free. Expect pockets of snow in the shadows of your route. Quote

PackOnMyBack Posted October 16, 2001 Posted October 16, 2001 Stefan, Went in at Colchuck TH and out at Snow Lakes TH on Sat. The only measureable snow was found in drifts, other than that most every thing was frozen solid, including the scree going up Asgaard Pass. That day there would have been no problem getting to/climbing the West Ridge. Best of luck!! Quote
philfort Posted October 17, 2001 Posted October 17, 2001 Was anyone up around Heliotrope Ridge/Coleman glacier area last weekend? Snow report? A co-worker of mine reported about 2 feet of snow above 6000ft west of Stevens Pass. Must be a similar amount around Baker? Quote
