freeclimb9
Fuck it. Cut all the damn trees down. I'm converting to Mormonism so I can get my own planet. Screw Earth. Leave it to all you losers who'll be left behind after the Rapture. Now all I need are some bitches --er, women-- to help me populate it. Dr_Flash_Amazing
freaklimb, if you were really on the ball, you'd create a hybrid mormon/islam religion (Muslormins? Morslims? Mormuslimons?) so you'd get your own planet and a stash of virgies to populate it with. Get with the program, holmes!

freeclimb9
freaklimb, if you were really on the ball, you'd create a hybrid mormon/islam religion Both of those religions seem to spawn spontaneous regimentation, and that weirds me. But my own planet stocked with a whole gang of strange sounds like heaven to me.
iain
I thought this thread would be about Timmy's dog Sierra and her love for steaming chub log slash. I am sorely disappointed.

iain
ah that's why you're so well-versed in wheelbarrow support technique. the swelling should subside shortly. remember trask, rest, ice, elevate and a loading 800mg IBU should get you back "up and at'em". nolanr
Cutting down all the trees is very sound forest fire management policy. No trees=no forest fires. Duh. Then w/ no habitat there will be no wildlife and we can forget about that whole pesky ESA thingy.
glacierdog
I can't believe I missed this thread. More Bush bashing. Really, if you are all so concerned, do something about it. Get some petitions going. I'd do it, but in my line of work, it's called mutiny. And I'm not really sure I don't agree. It's either forest fires or selective logging. Most cases, I'll take selective logging. It's easier to control.
catbirdseat
In GWese, selective logging = clearcutting. Clear cuts increase the chances of fire because of the lush growth of brush they foster. Even when selective logging is practiced, they take only the largest most fire-resistant trees and leave behind the tinder. It's all a lot of bullshit. They don't give a damn about reducing the threat of fire. All they care about is getting publicly subsidized timber to the companies that contributed the most to GW's re-election campaign.
