you said it was probably part of the Mt Stuart batholith, right? Does that mean its part of the Stuart range or really close by? Or is it a trick? I don't know my batholiths, maybe they extend really far... really looks like the chossy stuff immediately north of highway 20.

 

If its near Stuart... Cashmere Mtn maybe? does that have a steep north side?

Phil-

It is in the Stuart area and the rock is (like Stuart) a mixture of good and bad. It is about 1000 feet high. Not Pennant or Little Annapurna.

Maybe the stuart range should be banned from these mystery photos, it all kind of looks the same.. grin.gif

 

Maybe this is too obscure. Another hint: the ridge in the foreground eventually leads up to Black Peak (to the left).

How about a hint on your seldom visited, often seen peak?

 

One good hint and most anyone with geographical knowledge could possibly get it.

 

So my hint is - the hardest named routes that summit it are 4th class max.
