Umm "Source: Analysis of U.S. Census Bureau data in Economic Policy Institute, The State of Working America 1994-95 (M.E. Sharpe: 1994) p. 37, and U.S. Census Bureau, Historical Income Tables, Table F-3." those are the same sources. Historically part of the reason behind seamingly punitive tax policies was income redistribution, to combat the capital gap.

    Your logic is faulty.

In light of how many peoples trust was violated by priests (and the Church) perhaps that's not a good thing.
  9. That business model isn't so applicable to the Outdoor industry where a very small budget goes to R & D, and a very large budget goes to marketing.

Going to school for years doesn't inherently make you an expert on anything but going to school. And since priests study theology, I don't think anyone would expect them to inherently know things other than theology ( The study of the nature of God and religious truth)

Considering how much it's changed, the thinkings obviously not done, is it? Hence my question about Liberation Theology, a doctrine of social justice that a majority of 1st world catholics don't subscribe to but is popular in S. America. The church presents its narrative as immutable, and most practitioners assume it to be so, a quick look at history will show it isn't.

It resembles a California republican convention.

And your position on Liberation Theology is? The catholic church certainly has a coherent narrative, it's a bit of a strech to call it "well thought out", to my mind that would be both a coherent and consistant narrative, which isn't historically true of the church.

  17. The BD shovel hasn't been made for awhile, it's long gone. 2nd wind sports in Hood River had one a bit ago, probably not there. Not much use unless you are clearing a camp. Leki makes a shovel blade that fits on the end of their ski poles, Stubai made something similar. More useful would be to make an adaptor for a current shovel, using Delrin or the like.
  18. Yes, Jose Padilla. The Court (well Rehnquist, Scalia, Thomas, Kennedy & O'connor) refused to hear his case because of jurisdiction issues. Rumsfeld v. Padilla
