If they have a configuration, size, doors, etc. you want, you might consider the Integral Designs MK tents. They are still using same fabric as pre BD Bibler fabric.
I won't attempt to suggest who pays, but one place some demonstration huts could potentially be built is on the south side of Baker. Recreation Area as opposed to Wilderness Area. Certainly a heavy use area.
another nice axe with a griprest is the CAMP alpaxe. nice the way the grip rest can be changed quickly while climbing.
I've climbed a fair bit with the aztarex also, and have been quite happy with them on both water ice and snow.
