  1. I am selling this ultralight Petzl Sum'Tec bent shaft axe with TrigRest, 52 cm, 490 gram. Interchangeable 3.5 mm ALPIX pick. Almost new, used once on Hood. MSRP $175, asking $90
  2. You were supposed "to take it easy" this weekend Dane.
  3. I would be interested if its not too warm. Will PM you. I am Anastasia too .
  4. I was always admiring the headwall and the glacier Bill has possession of and now are they getting pissed on?
  5. I second Cilogear 30L. It is astounding how much stuff you can fit in it in addition to being very comfy on my back. Nobody believes me when I say I used it on Rainier for 3 nights and 4 days. Tent, rope, rack, half bag, thermorest, food and clothes - inside. Crampons, tools, 1 picket and helmet - on the outside. Here it is in action: Big props to Graham!
  6. Last weekend I saw people pitching in the tents in the woods around the cabin...Must be those who could not reserve in advance?
  7. Oh, forgot to mention, we started on Fri 02/03 11.50 pm onwards through Sat. Yeah, a few power lines are down on the west side today!
  8. Hmmmm...It took us 8.5 hrs from the car to the base of the North Face on deep postholey snow through the T-line, down and up the Eliot gl. 8.5! in high winds and spindrifts - as opposed to 4.5 hrs back in December! Would you go and get on a grade IV route after that? We did not. Instead, we got on some sweet water ice in the NE face corner and up to the Tie-In rock, then merged with and went up the dog Cooper Spur. Yes, the TJ A-frame is officially locked up. As good as it gets now: On the upper Eliot gl: Water ice was found and climbed: Hauling ourselves to the Tie-In rock and up the spur: Oh, and it got windy up there! On the CS descent at 7K': [video:vimeo]36317883
  9. Cool! I have a C2C run up on the NF on Sat but Sun would be fine by me. Just need a few hours of sleep somewhere in between. I hope not to hallucinate much this time and not to end up in the private swimming pools at the T-lodge looking for the O/N parking lot! Will email you.
  10. Big "stuff" has to happen on the nights like that .
  11. I would take them but I am in Portland.
  12. Up for sale is BD Raven Pro straight shaft ice axe, 70 cm. Used twice and in excellent shape. Retails for $100, asking $50. Local pick up in PDX or buyer pays shipping.
  13. Depends on what "in" you are after. As of now, horrible skiing and perfect walking conditions above 6400' and looking at the forecast, it is unlikely going to change much through the next w/e.
  14. I was looking forward to ski Cooper Spur yesterday 01/28/12 in the forecasted "partly sunny"conditions: Started late, at 8 am, and skinned up from 3900' to the CS rock shelter (6700'), first on some decent snow and then pathetically struggling through ice and spin drifted snow pillows, but eventually ditched the skis. At this point, crampons on, tool in hand and up to Tie In rock. It was super windy on the spur and a couple of times I was close to being swept. 6400': 8000': 9200': And what is this? It came out of the cloud for a total of 1 min. The shrund seemed to be more manageable than was in December. Massive attack is about to begin?
  15. Good points! In Bill we trust.
  16. How windy was up at I-rock?
  17. If you are referring to this: then that was a 5 mm dyneema and you did not seem to mind it at the time, Pat
  18. Thanks Gene for saying it.
  19. In a growth phase? Ha! Not so much. I define it as apoptotic! ::
  20. Who needs some organelles these days Steopich? Believe it or not, my marketing skills seem to be improving and I may have even found a victim for my new "apoptotic" project!
  21. Today - when I got sick and tired of the work related stuff. Jon was very understanding! And now, I've got such a change pleasing to the eye and soul, - in the upper right corner of the screen: "Welcome YocumRidge"!
  22. Yeah, it felt dull for a brand new one.
