I would never let my company become unionized...

Everyone has to start out somewhere and somehow. Not everyone has the parents or friends or local groups to get them started and yet they still have the passion to get out in the hills like everyone else on this site. I was lucky enough to have my brother teach me the ropes (haha puns) but not everyone has that. I think its great Josh is getting out, planning climbs and teaching himself. He just needs a bit of guidence and more duct tape.

I remember reading a book about a a young man who started climbing with a club called the spokane mountaineers (not sure if they were a chapter of the mounties out here in sea-town)... He was about 16 at the time wearing jeans and rubber boots for the climb up Rainer. I cant recall the author but it was a notable climber but... I think that kid up in Ak should be eaten by a bear.

Ive been looking at Mountain Hardwear Terra Shell Jacket and the MH Xenon Jacket. Does anyone recommend one or the other? Thanks.
