  1. Where are you riding?
  2. Wrong Silva, and wrong weight class: Wanderlei Silve vs. Keith Jardin at LHW. (But The Spider is badass.)
  3. I didn't hear anything.
  4. Too close to call, man. Faber is insane good. If Pulver had a good camp, I'd give him a slight edge. There's slew of great matchups before this one, though, at UFC 84: Penn/Sherk Ortiz/Machida Silva/Jardine Salaverry/Palhares
  5. Just joshin', Rudy.
  6. Not the chimney he's talking about. Neither of the chimneys are very hard, nor are they featureless.
  7. I passed it on to a PA I know.
  8. I've done the same. Pretty cool stuff.
  9. One to two months old? He was tromping around there back in March? That's not good.
  10. The real problem is responsibility and education, then? I totally agree. We have been making that argument for years.
  11. Well, then; no worries. I, however, was not so lucky.
  12. This is excellent news! Thanks for posting the link.
  13. Sounds like a simple yes or no answer doesn't it? It depends. I don't believe a toy gun in itself is bad. Just like I don't believe an air rifle (like Red Ryders) is bad. It takes some judgment on the part of the parents and their ability to instill good judgment and sense in their children. I am a believer in responsible gun ownership and that includes teaching your child to properly use and manage a firearm. I like your perspective. My cousin bought toy guns for his daughters (who all subsequently learned to shoot). The rule was they could play with them, but if they pointed them at other people, they were gone. They were taught from very young what guns were about, and they see the animals hanging in camp to know what guns can do.
  14. Airsoft hunting people is fun; have done some CQB with Airsoft M4s.
  15. Pack running shoes...
  16. No. I give the greatest weight to the Park Service argument that it will lead to more poaching and other wasting of animals. Hunting is prohibited in National Parks, and there are much better ways to avoid bear problems than being macho man with a .44 on your hip. Poachers, like all criminals, are not going to be affected one iota by this, or any, law.
  17. fixed it We're both right, actually. Thank the NRA for the functioning weaponry, as they were key players in getting small arms from the U.S. to Britain in a hurry. - quoted from www.nraila.org
  18. How is this much different than other military schools? I'd say the concept is the same. Additionally, if the British had gotten a little more exercise and training, they might not have gotten their asses kicked clear to Dunkirk by the kids pursuing 'Strength through Joy'.
  19. I'd appreciate it if you would snap some pics, while you are out. It makes my Monday mornings a little nicer. Nice job!
  20. That's a little too close for my comfort, since I've seen them cover twice that distance in about 5 seconds. They make a nice summer sausage, by the way.
  21. Been there, done that. Makes you realize exactly how thin that nylon tent is, doesn't it?
  22. Common knowledge is that there's pretty good bear hunting in the Money Creek area off Hwy 2. Spotted a cougar mountainbiking on Tiger Mtn. a couple years ago.
  23. Having bears stroll through campsites was de rigeur in the Adirondack Park, back in the 80's. They'd get so smart, we would have to camouflage/hide our canned goods because they'd chew them open. Fish & Game ended up shooting a 400# sow who was getting a little too bold.
