Never doubt Randy, he's one of the most amazing guys ever to step into the ring, or on a mat. 100% respect from all of us here to him. I do however think CroCop has a style and a power that Randy hasn't had to face before in the Octagon.

Uh...yeah, I don't think that was my point, but you can read into it however you please. -
You're correct, as confirmed by Sherdog. I'll take Jackson over Henderson, but Dan is a great athlete.

Way to go Rampage! Chuck will probably receive the first shot a rematch. Pride has long held most of the deep talent pool. More than likely M. Huas or even Silva will cross over and remove Rampage from his title very soon. Randy was being set up for a clash with a much better fighter who fell to "punchers chance". If CroCop works his way back in then Coutre will be retired for good.

I am hoping that BC wins the appeal, and sets a precedent. I empathize with the young man who was involved, but I do not believe his lack of judgement/skill has the right to impact the future of riding for thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands of people. Moreover, whatever ambulance chasing parasite took this case deserves a ton of derision for colluding peoples minds about the definition of responsible behavior/taking responsibility for one's own actions. -
Nevermind, it's like debating with a brainwashed monkey on mescaline.

By the same thought process which focuses on assessing blame rather than assessing responsibility for one's actions you could make an argument that TGR, MSP, Warren Miller, a ton of small ski film makers should cough up a few bucks because it might be inferred that their irresponsible film making causes people to want to do stuff they are not properly trained or prepared for. Mmmmmm? -
Damn that has got to be the best one I have heard in awhile... and to think they say liberals have all the wack conspiracy theories... You still find this one funny 3 years later John? I'm still over here, but I don't need to enlighten you any further since you apparentally had it all dialed in back in 2004. The WMD was a botched intel effort colluded by big Army and Marine Corps need to have a sustained and well documented build up on the Kuwaiti border. By the time ISG hit the ground, the big show was moved. Furthermore, it is succinct to say we have a proxy war with Iran and Syria going on. Just wanted to set the record straight. Moving on, no need to reply.

Bah! People should assume responsibility for taking risks instead of dropping it on the ski resort. If some kid wants to huck off a 40 foot step down than man up and take the consequences. No one pushed him down the hill, held a gun to his head, and said "Gap this". In Europe/Canada this would never have reached a courtroom. The problem with this ruling is that it might not bode well for resort mountain biking. I read this case report on ridemonkey like 2 months ago. -
I didn't watch your video, but I just read an intel report from the south (Helmand Province) in which a young girl was forced into marriage with her dead husbands younger brother. She's 24, and he is now 5. He calls her 'auntie'

Hey Matt, what's up man? I'm basing my guestimates on my day-to-day face-to-face on-the-boots-on-the-ground dealings with NATO. There are some good troops in NATO, in particular the eastern Europeans (Soviet Union would have crushed western Europe), but the majority are on a little vacation away from home.

Oh you guys mean like the European peacekeeping force in Kososvo? The one in Afghanistan (ISAF), the one in Beirut? So affective....at sitting on their bases with their heads up their asses.

Lighten up, Mike. I float on a cloud of levity, Pat. Yeah, but when are you going to float on the end of a climbing rope? Tis the season.... Someday. I might not get the chance to climb in the Cascades during the regular season until summer 2009. I have done some climbing in the Hindu Kush, but it's not the main reason I'm over here of course. http://photos1.blogger.com/hello/24/2081/640/DSCN0317.jpg http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger2/2769/3635/1600/Tom_BW2.jpg

Good points Ken. I am not so sure about the Iraqi's wanting Europa on their sovereign lands anymore than the Americans Justin. I think there is a reason why terrorists groups have been complicit towards Europe, and that's because they must understand that Europe is now the sleeping giant, as compared to the US formerly holding that role. To risk large scale European involvement in the GWOT would mean expansion of military/paramilitary/FEDLE involvement in shutting down their networks. In order for an effective peacekeeping force to get into position there must be a strong economic incentive for NATO to do so. Until Europe can get their hands on a big old piece of that fat moneypie (which ironically some economists say is the reason we went in without their approval), then they will continue to waffle. I would change the paradigm of the world considerably if I were President. I would dial up old Kim in Norte' Korea, and tell him I was going to immediately petition the UN to lift all sanctions on his country, open direct trade arrangements, invite him over for face to face talks, and then kindly ask him to send 200K of his finest to Iraq to squash (without mercy) our Arabs friends little sectarian issues. Then I'd call up our Persian boy over in Iran, and see if he was interested in cutting the House of Saud out of the big oil equation once and for all. Keep your enemies closer...

That's got to be one of the most blatantly ignorant statements I've heard out of you yet. Your strategic acumen is vastly overrated. You live in a shallow box. Get out of the house, look around you.

MMA is athletic competition, and you have to fight and protect yourself at all time. For the competitors there is generally no malice, and punching someone who is down is just being trained to a point where you stop when the referee signals that your opponent is down. That's why there is a referee. The safety of the athletes is paramount. No one has been killed in sanctioned MMA competition, no one has required rescue costing hundreds of thousands of dollars, no one has walked by an MMA athlete as he gasps for his last dying breath...etc. It's athletic pure and simple.
