  4. damn.. thats terrible. Was he solo? why are details unknown?
  5. sad story.... those shots of his leg were pretty gruesome!
  6. we didnt know how to get to the other side of the rive and we forgot the guide, but we had fun bouldering... I think.. It was really cold today (monday) I wonder if the Hope climbs will be in better shape?
  7. I haven't used them on a glacier or really wet stuff. I used them on rock and dry approaches and they are superb
  8. If you want I could climb with you there after school any day this week, message me if you want to climb there.
  9. I hate you.... we (mike and I) went there about the same time as you but the only climb we checked out had big scary holes in it so we went ice bouldering instead.
  10. I wonder if that little ice formation is formed every year because I've never seen it before, I want to go back and climb the whole thing but if got to be pretty steep at the top and about 30ft high so I downclimbed, It was fun though.
  11. I went up the fraser canyon to climb some ice, just past hells gate there was a coll loking climb but it had a bug hole in it and you would probably die or something if you attempted it, I ice bouldered around Lake of the Woods and then soloed some ice at the juction of hwy 9 anf hwy 7 in Agassiz... fun stuff there
  12. Me and Mike Warn drove up to Hells Gate today to climb some ice but the one route that looked sweet had a huge hole of running water and looked scary climbing around it... so we went and bouldered around by Lake of the Woods. After I got home Iwent to the juction of hwy 9 and hwy 7 and soloed 3/4 p a steep ice formation there but backed off the final 10 ft of it. Do u know anything about this place? It was pretty fun and some bigger climbs look like thay could form with a longer cold spell.
  13. lol, I saw a huge slide come off the slabs in winter. Now that I remember that theres NO WAY I would go there in winter. Makes more sense just to go up the needle across the highway
  14. That could be approached from the cheam trailhead by hiking around the shoulder of lady peak and then down the glacier. I've done something like that before but we didnt go down the glacier very far. Too bad about he avy hazard though..
  15. Get the Charmoz if they fit you well thay are light, not clunky, and have a rock shoe feel when climbing, I can lead 5.9 when wearing them at the bluffs and thay dont feel akward.
  16. I'd be game to climb it in the summer or fall, but I dont have the winter experience to do it right now..
  17. I can make funny faces but I'm too lazy to take a picture and post it...
  18. Nevermind, my buddy just said we was free on saturday.
  19. wow, nice pic, makes the actual rocky part of the NW face look much shorter than it looks from Agassiz, shows the upper part of the route really well..
