"Meet me at the oval glory hole."

not that there's anything wrong with that.

It's a good thing "I suck cock" is easy to spell, considering how often you scrawl it inside bathroom stalls.

The last two Stihls I tried to use didn't work worth shit. Obviously a job for Stihl-girl, who, given her ride, looks like she's equipped for house calls.

You're looking for love in all the wrong places.

Snopes says Factcheck.org is bullshit.

The only difference between McCain and The Monkey is a) McCain's occasionally pretends to give a shit about the environment (although he does little to put his money where his mouth is) and b) McCain sports a combover. Policy-wise, they're largely interchangeable.

So now you want that in Iraq huh? Already have it, thanks to you find boys and girls in uniform and your idiot political handlers.
-
You might want to consult Factcheck.org on that one, Bill. Just to be sure.

That's one living fossil who would'nt be caught dead in a place like Sweden.

The good news is that there's no limit to the amount of extra clothing you can pack in your carry on, so you don't have to pay the extra check baggage charge. The bad news is that you'll need to: they're installing seatbelts on the wing.

The BD Venom has a slightly bent shaft that plunges well, and has a interchangeable pick (standard for self arrest, recurved for self belay). It would probably make the best one tool choice. 60 cm should do it (use a freakin' ski pole for a walking stick...you never really need a 70 cm axe unless you're on very sublimated high altitude knife ridges). Changing out BD picks is easier than most other brands. On the steeper stuff, you need self belay, not self arrest. Go for a tool that will give you a secure, solid stick. The BD Venom is OK. For the same weight, the Petzl Aztarex provides a much more comfy (better knuckle clearance so your hands don't freeze) and secure stick, and the shaft plunges fine if you remove the grip rest.

Looks like FW's found himself a new boy toy.

I just watched a gig he did in Santa Rosa CA for the Emmy consideration. Brilliant. Last year's was even better. Carlin just got better with age. Our most poignant social critic is no longer here to call us on our stoopit shit. From here on out, it's all bullshit folks, and it's bad for ya.

It's a numbers game. Someday, you'll be shitting out your lower colon, wishing like a skint crack ho that you'd spent that $2.29 on a fresh can. There are only two situations that make me wish for death: the throws of food poisoning, and when RumR shares about with us about the heartbreaks of being 40 something (die laughing).

You're fucking insane. Ever had food poisoning? You'd rather be dying of cancer of the asshole. Throw that shit out unless you want to transform yourself into a giant puking, squirting Lawnbird sprinkler.

That first sunset shot is absolutely gorgeous -
That makes this tree the oldest living thing on earth. Previously, that title was held by a 9,000 year lichen, although one could argue that a lichen is not a single organism but successive generations of symbiotic organisms and therefore should be in a different category.

When we reached the col, our desire was gone with the wind, as they say. Continuing probably would have meant a quick case of hypothermia in my case. Gene didn't seem at risk of overheating, either. Furthermore, I should have had my overboots and mitts along with me in those conditions. Finally, we were concerned about the bottom slopes, which are less steep and thus more prone to becoming loaded, particularly after so many heavy spindrift avalanches. Towards the end of the day, we were getting a hit every five minutes or so, by successive waves that were meer seconds apart. Oh well, the weather seemed so benign that morning...down low that is. It was my first climb in the Alaska Range; lesson learned. Kevin and Andy, a separate party from Colorado just ahead of us, pressed on for a bit, but reported horrendous conditions on the ridge, as well as very sketchy ice. The combination forced them back. There were no regrets that day. -

Well, there's a fixed pin about 10 feet below the crux now, and that's a good thing. The two Japanese hardmen who dissappeared on the Cassin were the only fatalities I've heard about so far this season in the range. My photo doesn't really do those spindrift avalanches justice...I had to wait until this one was nearly over the catch the photo. They really suck the heat right out of your body. -
First it was Shock and Awe, now it's Aah, Shucks.
