Just when you think the GOP has hit rock bottom in the mean spirited/social totalitarianism category... ...Santorum. Love this election season! Santorum! Are you leaning towards "Sit this one out" or "Write in?" LOL

Estimated annual savings in law enforcement for WA = 20 M. Est. taxes from pot (no tie dye accessories) = 195 M. 215 M a year. That's salary+bennies for 6000 teachers.

Stephen Hawking's got a new book out? Too long for the fridge. I'll have to hang this one in the shitter next to "you are a child of the universe..." -

Both the Kongurs and TM22 are actually great skis - better for spring, obviously. The Kongurs are decent in crud, too. Rivas are as light a tely setup as it comes...good for traverses, of which I've done a few here and there along the way. For the Ptarmigan in May, that's all (the weight) you need. In general, people ski too wide (and heavy) a ski these days. Great for that powder that most working stiffs can't take advantage of but a few days a year, but 90 - 100 underfoot is really where its at most of the time around here. -

You could have said that in the beginning, but I guess that wouldn't have been the CC.com thing to do, would it? -
You'll figure it after a few more repetitions...perhaps. Meanwhile, back to the actual thread... I'm not sure cutting fuel lines is really what we want to be all about. One of those naughty snowmobilers gets injured out there and...yeah. Kind of a bad karma sandwich, no?

How many reps are we up to, BTW?

Pipe/clip stick...another good idea.

I'ts kind of like celebrating when AM/PM goes back to their old Jo Jo recipe. Shit is shit.

It was moronic, but consider the source. Stating as much is a bit redundant. The few unscientific polls on the subject indicate that slightly more self-identified conservatives (than liberals) go for Jenny McCarthy's schtick, but it's pretty evenly split across political lines. Idiots are idiots. Be nice, ebbybody!

Snowmobiling in wilderness areas IS a big deal...it's kind of like shooting a baby in the face. I wasn't sure which 'access' was going to be denied as a result, however... That said, this was a clear case of Burglarizing the Chunder Palace.

More than two miles in from the boundary line (and I am being generous) Yes, I am sure and I have verified my gut feeling by referencing current maps. That sucks. Might've been worth it to stop the guys and make sure they knew they were in violation. Remind them that actions like their's could jeporadize access for everyone. Um...how would a few dirtbag snowmobilers ruin everyones access? It's the rider's responsibility to know where wilderness area boundaries are. Our wilderness area boundaries are clearly signed. Whether or not the riders 'knew' they were trashing a wilderness is pretty much irrelevant. They didn't bother to check...and that's enough to deserve the fine, which tops out at $5000 and 6 months in the slammer, BTW.

[TR] Lookout Mt: Third time's a charm - 2/12/2012
tvashtarkatena replied to tvashtarkatena's topic in the *freshiezone*
I checked 'em. The forest 'snow' you were crunching through looks familiar. I lost my headlamp in the lookout. How does one do that? If only I knew... No big, but we spent the day yo yoing the N side and got a late start down. That resulted in me chasing Josh's tiny cone of light through Kaptain Krunch in the dark forest (AT short course), which made for some spectacular air time. Josh and I clipped the same root and both lost a ski. Had we not recovered them, that would have been Josh's entire ski quiver, gone in a few seconds. Try stretching a bungee jumping line across the snowmobiler path next time. I'd pack in a tripod for that YouTube offering.
