Can I sum it up? Climber falls and tragically dies. Other climbers find his body (in a tree??), take photographic evidence, and then finish their climb. After their climb they call SAR to pick up the body. In the meantime, a bear has eaten the body. People are pissed because they didn't cancel their climb and go get SAR immediately to clean up the body. Did I get it all?

You've been exposed to too much Kevbone. Is that like asbestos?

OH! I get it now. They're slaves! They don't wanna be here!!! No wonder you guys want to send them home so badly. Clearly, if farmers didn't keep enslaving them, there would be no illegal immigrants here at all, they'd all just stay home! Brilliant!
-
Can you even IMAGINE if we got "tough" with industry that hires illegals? Sure, like Americans are gonna want to go pick fruit for a dollar a day.

Give it a rest. This is not about disagreeing, but about singing the same fucking tune so endlessly. The dude is not forced to live here. Nobody is. Well, I don't know him (at all). But it sounds like, to me, he's not complaining about being forced to live here, but is complaining about things in his adoptive country that he doesn't like. That sounds pretty American too me.

Imagine how much smoother everything will be once we get rid of everyone who disagrees with us!

The "love it or leave it" is a popular counter-argument that attempts to nullify all possible criticisms. It's sort of a last ditch attempt to avoid facing unpleasant truths about our "perfect Union." It's very versatile. It's quite similar to the "why do you hate America" argument the right has been using for a while. It can be used against any argument. Good Americans don't rock the boat, right? Don't like it? Then GET OUT! And take some Mexicans with ya!

I love the rifle he hoists on his shoulder. THUGS AND CRIMINALS!!!! I lol'd.

"So, Bob, how was your weekend?"

he doesn't even know what CIS is, but of course that doesn't prevent him from having strong opinions on the matter. :\

you know, training and conditioning can also be things like getting your legs used to wearing new boots, dialing in your packing job, getting used to new things. The few weeks leading up to a big climb, you are saying you shouldn't be doing any training or conditioning whatsoever because it would all be pointless? Also, why even say anything? Nobody was asking for your expert nutrition and training advice, he was just commenting that the crappy weather has prevented him from going out on his training climbs and you butt in with your wanna-be-Mr-Big-Time-Mountaineer attitude and your unsolicited advice that makes you come off like a total douche. $0.02

sure is, nodder

Think Kevbone will be against this one, too? We already know his opinion on the cervical cancer vaccine.

Strange that you quasi-defend BP in this disaster, but waste no time heaping blame on the *democratic* administration, while simultaneously avoiding a perfect opportunity to distance yourself from frmr Pres. Bush and so improve your own credibility. Party politics. So transparent. Actually, I'm not sure I've ever heard you criticize frmr. Pres. Bush. Weird, isn't it? So, let's see some trash-talking about BP, FW. Put your money where your mouth is. I'd also accept a critique of a prominent republican politician. Or, are there NONE worthy of critiquing? Only democrats, right?
-
Bush spent 490 days on vacation at Crawford, and 487 at Camp David. That's like a third of his entire presidency on vacation. Where was your "not up to the task" then, FW? When have i ever heard you criticize the right? Man up. Otherwise, you're just another "us-vs-them" partisan fool.

This thread DESPERATELY needs one of Dru's links posted.

It is complex, start by looking into the Federal reserve and some of the allegations against JP Morgan. It's very reminiscent on the computer programmers back in the day who had a computer send over any fractional and partial change to their own account. With millions of transactions, the amounts get huge. Obfuscation is the name of the game. Youtube video?

Nah, I think I'll just arbitrarily label all major corporations "looters" instead (except corporations I like, and Al Gore). I prefer delusional simplicity to cautious rationality.
-
Certainly lots of banks, JP Morgan-Chase for instance, would be looters. The bail out, wherein these large corp. financial companies get our money to use tax free, while tossing it around and getting interest for their shareholders off our our interest free $ qualifies them. Yes, dems can be looters, you can look at some of Baraks biggest contributors and if you follow up- you will see gov. money going their way. You money lets call it. Money we are borrowing at higher interest rates from China. This is getting transferred out of your pocket into theirs and we are falling behind and getting deeper in dept as it occurs. jb and I have some agreements here, but he pretty much is a one trick pony on this issue, blaming only the "fat cats". Business cycles have hit us before and we'll get through this one as well. But not quite yet, as we have more pain still I'm afraid. We've been wasting lots of money on wars, and now we need to raise jb's taxes to pay for them. So, the WHOLE bank are looters, or the just Board, or what? Anybody who has invested in Chase is a looter? I thought it would be more complicated than that for some reason.

Can someone please tell Murdoch he forgot to give me some of his money??
