  1. Thanks for the great pics... were those taken this past weekend? Looks like fun was had by all with the recent cold blast of weather!
  2. PM sent.
  3. Come on... Who wants to get up to snoqualmie and scout some ice conditions?
  4. Anyone up for a trip to Snoqualmie to scout some ice routes? Temps should be great for some formations.
  5. Great pics!!! Sounds like you all had a lot to be thankful for!
  6. Dale, Thanks for the tip... however, I live within a 5 minute walk to the best sport routes in the state and a 45 minute drive to the nearest gym. I think I'll stick to the rock and save the gas money for road trips to Canada.
  7. Drytooling Thursday November 30???
  8. Once this snow sloughs off the mountain, the route might be in great shape.
  9. can you get that shift trade to make it out Nov 27-30??? I really want to get out for some climbing!!! Brian
  10. Anyone up for a trip Monday Nov 27 - Thursday Nov 30??? Alpine route in the cascades or maybe a drive to Banff? Drop me a line. Brian

  14. Thats funny. A few years back, my truck got broken into in Canada and a brand new BD Double Sky Lounge w/ fly and A5 Grade VII Haulbag were stolen from inside my canopy. Seeing as how I wouldn't have used them since then anyway... I really don't need to buy them back. Thanks though. :-) Serious.
  15. Anyone up for a few routes this afternoon at Exit 32 or 38? PM me if interested. Brian
  16. The population in China is the fastest growing in the world. Even with regulations in place, population growth and sprawl is a big deal. The Chinese government sees Tibet as wide open real estate.
  17. Did Mailbox peak instead. But, on my way home, went up to WWI and, yes, mainly dry. PM sent about wednesday.
  18. IMHO... if you are rich enough to afford a guide to drag you up a mountain... you should have no problem forking over a "generous" tip.
  19. Anyone up to a bit of climbing on Little Si tomorrow (wed.)?
  20. Unfortunately, the world has turned a blind eye to this "holocaust" and occupation since 1957. Slowly, the Tibetan culture will fade away into only our history books if this unjust occupation is not stopped.
  21. Whales are really big... they don't lose heat fast. Lots of surface area. Insulation helps. Big people have more "insulation" than small people.
  22. Picture???
  23. Don't really have anything in mind... just want to get out. Alpine preferably. Baker, Adams, Rainier or something in the Cascades? Narrows it down a lot doesn't it. Weather should be great! Drop me a line. Brian

    Return to Rainier

This sounds suspiciously like, "We would like to take our own sweet time to have an 18-hour summit day (because I'll make it if I can go at my own pace) and pay someone to set up our tents, cook our meals, make all climbing decisions about conditions and weather, and take the blame when we still don't make it." Don't forget... "carry our gear for us."
