  5. silly porter, the price doesn't evolve because the garments are intelligently designed
  6. Hey Seahawks, where did you get your "Manual for properly witnessing for Christ to the heathen of the world?" My copy doesn't have anything about 1) engage a community in a discussion about their area of expertise in a time of trial and make as big of an idiot as possible out of yourself 2) start talking about Christ after you've lost all credibility
  7. This is a really eloquent statement from Mary's article, if you didn't read it:
  8. tx for the link dru, that's exactly what I wondered about. sounds like she's got it together. 'says dinosaur paleontologist Thomas Holtz Jr., of the University of Maryland. “It’s great science.” ' Jim saw someone else's conclusion about her data & rabidly discounted the person who is in fact just a humble scientist asking impossible questions, which is truly the mark of a good scientist. She's even on his side of the evolution debate! Good move
  9. Got news for you. If it's not published in a peer reviewed journal - it's not science. Anyone can post something on the web or get something in some general interest publication that does not have any peer-review process. Publish anything you want in People magazine, just don't try and claim it's science. You're looking foolish. Ummm... that's really not true at all. It could be science, it's just not yet been put to test by other objective critics. That's kinda why I asked those silly questions at the end. If it's not science yet, then you can't say it's bunk until it's scientifically disproved, which is apparently why you belittled her and not the discovery.
  10. You spend a lot of time discrediting her and where she published... what about the discovery? Sure she didn't publish appropriately, but I wonder how many real journals turned her down and for what reasons? However, the discovery is still subject to her own integrity. I also wonder if the cells were planted, as numerous "discoveries" have been falsified on both sides of the young/old creation/evolution. The integrity of the find can be tested... I wonder if any follow up work has been done on the specimens or other specimens found in the same area?
  11. #577 - unless you are already stopped in the middle of the intersection, which is where you should be in the first place.
  12. #10) exception to rule #9 is when the car is cutting in line or entering out-of-turn. in those cases, graciously make room for it. [yeah chucK, I agree, people are TOO nice in SEA!]

  17. checks and money orders are kinda different... a money order doesn't have to be cashed for the sender to lose his money. you pay first, then you must act to get your money back if it is not cashed. you must keep your receipt/records. a check, otoh, does not cause money to be taken out of your account unless it is redeemed for cash. no action is required if the check goes uncashed. however, he wasn't out $225 until the money order was cashed, so in that sense, the two methods are more alike than different. AKICEBUM was right to refrain from cashing it, meaning he did NOT have both the boots and the cash. get ur facts strate, huey
