  1. She really got chalk everywhere.
  2. Radio penetrates stone?
  3. From your intended use, and with 4wd, I think you need one set of all-season tires. If that doesn't feel good enough to you, add a pair of chains in the back for really dire situations. Cheap. Not overkill. I drive an awd Subaru, so far I've had two sets of all-season tires (the stock Bridgestone Potenza RE... 72s I think, and now a set of Pirelli P-Zero Nero M/S) and I have had no trouble with snowy roads. I bought the Pirellis from Discount Tire, I walked in with the Tirerack.com price and asked them to match it. They did. If you're really going to be doing a lot of snow driving, I hear Blizzaks are the bomb. I think the ONLY reasons to get two sets of tires are if your winter is really extreme, or you want to totally rip up the asphalt in the summer with a high-performance summer tire. I don't think either of these describes your situation.
  4. Telling your parents you're a douchebag.
  5. DUDES buy my shoes.
  6. NOOB
  7. Definitely do not bring an extra pair of rock shoes for the aid, just aid in your approach shoes. A good stiff sole is best, your toes will thank you.
  8. Sound violations get you the meatball:
  9. Uh, one lap to go is a white flag.
  10. Yeah, no shit. At 105 if anything unexpected happens you're going to die. Save the high speeds for the track.
  11. I got to drive a student's C5 around Pacific. That car is alarmingly fast. Made my little RX-7 feel like a Razor scooter.
  12. Nice attempt, sounds like you learned a lot of the things one typically learns on their first big aid climb. I like cleaning aid with one ascender and a grigri. Makes lowering off a piece very simple.
  13. I don't understand- why do softshell pants make bibs obsolete? Sounds like apples and oranges.
  14. Five Ten Anasazis, size 11: These shoes are awesome! I mean, I'm sure they're awesome. Everyone says so. They just hurt my feet so bad I can't use them. But I saw a picture of Sonnie Trotter wearing them while climbing something way hard at Smith. So they must rock ass. Lightly used maybe 10 times. $60 Mad Rock Flashes, size 10: These were cheap so I picked them up, but same problem as the Anasazis. What can I say, I'm a trad multipitch weenie, just give me my Spires. But maybe your feet are tougher than mine! Used maybe 5 times. $30 I live in Seattle but you are welcome to pay me to ship to a more exotic locale.
  15. Here is a drill that won't get you in trouble.
  16. LOSERS LOSERS LOSERS
  17. The problem is that you suck at descending. Having a drill won't fix this. Just get better at it.
  18. honda = no maintenance, not a bad expectation. Fine, drive a Honda.
  19. This is simply untrue. A hand drill, bit and several 1/4" bolts w/ hangers will weight less than a hammer. I knew some anal-retentive hyper-accurate nerd was going to chime in here and ruin it. I just figured it was going to be CBS.
  20. Hmmm, sounds like my Sube... No problem, that sounds like a 1/2 days work, and about $300 in parts. Seriously... what kind of expectations do you have? I'd admit that replacing a radiator twice on the same car is kind of out of the ordinary, but there are also few things that make a radiator go bad...
  21. is there a race up femalebox peak for the skinny guys?
  22. Jamin (hanging) in the blue jacket. not a troll, very excited about climbing...but in need of more experience and judgement... I would say that just because you've met him IRL does not mean he's not trolling. In fact he might be trolling in person too.
  23. I bet Jamin would float it with you.
  24. No. No such thing exists. Bolt kits are all very heavy and cumbersome. You should find another way to descend.
